Scope of Project:
The RNLI College is an award-winning conference and training venue situated in the stunning waterside setting of Poole, Dorset. It is the home of RNLI training.
This was a challenging project due to the innovatively designed roof shapes which were formed using a galvanised structural steel decking which spanned on the primary structure of the building.
Insulation and a thermally broken carrier rail system is then installed on to the decking and is topped off with an aluminium standing seam weather skin factory formed to the required curves.
The building was the winner of the 2005 “Quality in Construction” awards in its sector.
