Scope of Project:

TAC projects were appointed as the specialist cladding contractor for a new station on the Barking Riverside extension working with Morgan Sindall and Volker Fitzpatrick on this project.

For this contract, TAC Projects manufactured and installed a bespoke cladding system which included a perforated Corten rainscreen, aluminium fin panels and stainless steel panelling, all combining to give the new station its impressive look.

In addition, TAC Projects also designed and installed the Alsecco glass rainscreen, Proteus stainless steel, the Kingspan KingZip roof system and Kingspan top deck roof system.

The Barking Riverside extension will add 4.5km to the London Overground which will serve the largest housing development in east London. Without the new rail link to the area the full potential of the development could not be achieved.
