Scope of Project:

TAC Projects worked closely with Keir Construction, alongside a variety of manufacturers including Sotech Limited and Metsec SFS on this prominent university building in the heart of Bournemouth.

The Bournemouth University Gateway Building is the new home for the faculty of health and social sciences at Bournemouth University and stands at the entrance to Bournemouth opposite the main railway station and ahead of the young and vibrant student area.

We managed to deliver this impressive rainscreen facade which had been arranged with 3 different coloured Sotech panels to create a balanced random pattern.

The glittering gold, silver and bronze anodized finish was developed with the architect to deliver a practical and economic solution.

Including the rainscreen, TAC Projects designed and installed the complex support systems for the Brise Soleil, Fins and the complete wall infill.

TAC finished the project with bespoke capping’s and trims specially designed by our in-house draughting team. Project value £2.5M.
